DISCOGRAPHY
Five Long Years: A Tribute to Carey Bell is a
clean, no-frills production that brings E sitting right
next to you for a very private performance. Stripped
of any pretence or excess baggage, this is
undiluted, straightforward, magnificent Blues.
Mississippi Reminiscence celebrates a departure
for this artist, setting the stage for yet another role
as he adds his own soulful and the unmistakable
"E" touch to Muddy Waters’
Long Distance Call

The 10-track Mississippi Reminiscence is by far the
most stark and deeply personal work of his career.
Songs like
Graduation Day invite you to catch a
glimpse of his own inner self.
On Southern Style: Blues Sessions E plays the
lead and rhythm guitar tracks as well as the blues
harp and vocals.  He is an artist who pushes the
vocal blues envelope, and in doing so, he may
have crossed the line into the land of
accompaniment. Here are 10 songs that truly
reveal the range of what he does best… using his
voice as an incredibly multi-faceted instrument to
create sounds and moods that penetrate the
deepest layers of your soul.
Blues... A Healer, released in early February 2007,
takes E’s Blues and soulfully marches it into genre-
blurring territory, fusing rock, funk, soul, and singer-
songwriter aesthetics into a sound that is
mind-bending and booty-shaking.

Sensual, literate, explosive, and ground breaking,
his artistry keeps evolving. His adventurous
re-inventions, bold experimentation, stellar
instrumental and composing skills have placed him
high in the pantheon of all-time blues players.

"Crossroads," E's fifth album in as many years, he salutes
classic and traditional blues legends like Robert Johnson
and Memphis Minnie, as well as the contemporary masters,
Jimi Hendrix, Bill Withers and Keb Mo.  In presenting this
latest showcase, E proves again that the conviction of any
good story-teller lies in their ability to convey powerful
imagery and messages in our hearts and minds.  Whilst
these stories might be gathered from the well-trodden path
of life's love and loss.  Emotional reservations, and
recovery, E's delivery of them is not.  He takes each song
and turns it into a personal statement.  He presents every
one of these songs as intimate conversations, and brings
warmth and deep sensuality with a little humor thrown into the mix.  His vocal range is
heightened in Robert Johnson's
"Crossroads Blues", and he even turns a "hmmm" onto
gut-wrenching drama in Keb Mo's
"Love In Vain" layered with the call and response of his
harp.  Whilst some of the songs offer a personal insight into E - the man, (in
"Henry," he
acknowledges the wisdom of his grandfather's teachings), others reveal a keen sense of
his remarkable skills.  Mose Allison's
"Parchman Farm" is a pure harpist's delight, and E's
naked rendition of this classic gives us a sneak preview of his ambitions to date.
"Crossroads" moves us a long way from lonesome therapeutic blues and marks refreshing
turning points in the history of blues tradition
