Ms. Vergnes is a pianist in the Romantic mold,
a dynamic performer concerned with texture
and color. In recent years, Ms. Vergnes was a
professor of music at a French Musical
Conservatory and her career as a soloist with
orchestras had waned, but she was

concerts and accompanying duties.
